16th March – The Story of Anne Frank – 80th Anniversary. The story of this young Jewish girl’s life against Nazism. With presentations by Historian Paul Hunt & photographic displays etc.

24th/25th May – The Miracle of Dunkirk 85th Anniversary Exhibition
Telling the story of the amazing evacuation of Allied troops from the beaches of Dunkirk & the fall of France to the Nazis in May 1940. Also including the role of RAF Hornchurch protecting the beaches from German aircraft.
Featuring memorabilia, uniforms, photographs and the Hornchurch Spitfire relics recovered during the Channel 4‘Time Team’ excavation in 1999, shot down over Dunkirk.

12th/13th July – Women at War Exhibition. Remembering the role of women in the armed services and civilian during two world wars and other conflicts. Photographic & text displays, uniforms, memorabilia and much more.

9th/10th August-VJ Day & the Atomic Bomb 80th Anniversary Exhibition.
Commemorating the final end of the Second World War against the Imperial Empire of Japan and the story of the development of the Atomic Bomb, which resulted with the devastation of Hiroshima & Nagasaki. Photographic and DVD Display, memorabilia etc.

6th/7th September – Battle of Britain 85th Anniversary Exhibition
Telling the story of ‘Britain’s Finest Hour’ when the country stood alone against Hitler’s armies and Luftwaffe Air Force. Remembering those courageous RAF Fighter pilots and ground personnel during those 4- months of aerial conflict.
Uniforms, aircraft relics, photographs and much more tell this amazing story.

4th/5th October – 110th Anniversary of RFC/RAF Hornchurch Aerodrome
Commemorating the history of this famous WW1 and WW2 Aerodrome until its closure in 1962. Uniforms and flying kit, photographic display, aircraft relics and memorabilia plus visual presentations and book-signing.
